Triumph Foundation Wheelchair Sports Festival

Triumph Foundation is holding its 5th Annual Wheelchair Sports Festival featuring 10 adaptive recreational sports on Saturday April 30, 2016, 9am-5pm and Sunday May 1, 2016 9am-3pm located at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex, 20870 Centre Pointe Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.
 
The Wheelchair Sports Festival will feature wheelchair hockey, basketball, quad rugby, racquetball, handcycling, adapted scuba, WCMX, curling, baseball, powerchair rodeo, art workshops, and a resource fair. Triumph Foundation will provide equipment, coaching & instruction to teach you how to play the games, and lunch for all athletes.  
 
The event is FREE and open to the general public to join in the games. No matter who you are or what your ability, everyone can participate in this fun-filled day bringing awareness, inclusion, and excitement to the community.
 
The goal is to introduce wheelchair sports to people that are newly disabled; provide learning opportunities to the general public; and showcase people living with physical impairment in a way that members of the community do not often see. The Triumph Foundation Wheelchair Sports Festival brings everyone together - able-bodied and disabled alike - on a level playing ground to take part in games and activities.
